THE EIGHTEENTH WALDORF (RUDOLF STEINER) EDUCATION SEMINAR

THE EIGHTEENTH WALDORF (RUDOLF STEINER) EDUCATION SEMINAR AT D. C. SCHOOL IN KHANDALA, MAHARASHTRA, INDIA, 2016.

The Seminar will be conducted in two one-week sessions:

The first week, from 5 pm on Sunday, May 15, until 1 pm on Saturday, May 21, 2016 will be for beginners only.

The second week, from 5 pm on Sunday, May 22, until 1 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016, will be open to all those who are acquainted with Waldorf education, as well as those from the first week. Appropriate groups will be formed.

The venue will be Bai Dhunmai Cawasji Public School (D.C. School) in Khandala, PIN 401 310, a hill station in Maharashtra between Mumbai and Pune, reachable by bus, car or train (Central Railway). Tel. no. of D.C.School is 02114-269 153.

The cost of boarding and lodging in very simple dormitories at the school is Rs. 400 per head per day. Tuition fees are Rs. 2,200 per head per week. Please make the total payment IN CASH upon arrival.

You are requested to bring the following items with you:
2 bed sheets, a pillow and pillow case, water bottle, mosquito repellent, hat or cap, comfortable shoes, torch, personal first-aid kit, a musical instrument if you play one, a recorder-flute (C flute), material for evening presentation and a bathing suit if you wish to swim in the school swimming pool.

Please arrive in time for the inauguration at 4.30 pm on Sunday. The gates of D.C.School will remain shut from 10 pm until 6 am daily, so please avoid arriving during that time, as nobody will be there to receive you. All participants are requested to leave the premises by 4 p.m. on the last day of their stay. It will not be possible to stay on, once the seminar comes to an end.

Children and pets cannot be accommodated. Participants have to be above the age of eighteen and must have a good knowledge of English. We are confident that this seminar will be very successful with your kind cooperation. Together we will learn and have a happy time.

ARTISTIC AND CREATIVE ACTIVITIES:

1. Eurythmy a modern art of movement
2. Water-colour painting
3. Drawing and form-drawing
4. Singing and flute-playing
5. Speech formation and drama
6. Classroom and outdoor games
7. Handwork

The faculty members at the Khandala Seminar are Waldorf teachers from India and abroad, with many years of teaching experience in established Waldorf institutions.
