BOLLYWOOD NITE REPORT

ON 17TH SEPT there was a lot of flurry at Ripon Club, the oldest club with a 137 year legacy, founded by Sir Pherozshah Mehta as a male bastion, as people gathered there for the Bollywood Nite event organised by the club. There was a mixture of young and old Parsees gathering to have a good time with retro numbers belted out by Tehmtan Dumasia and Mona with a Live Band in attendance (Courtesy Mr Viraf Mehta).

The evening started with retro bollywood numbers and went on to get the guys and girls on the floor, also the old and not so old who were dancing away and enjoying the evening.

The saxophone in the band was being enjoyed by everyone along with Mark Parekh on the Piano and Shashank on the drums.

There were drinks flowing on each table with starters and followed by food consisting of Salads, soup, Bombil Fry, Gravy Cutlets, Prawn Curry Rice….Icecream. We would like to thank the sponsors who made this successful, Mr Viraf Mehta, Mr Mickey Mehta, K CATERERS and Mr Aspi Acharya.

The Best Dressed and best dancer Prize was given to Ms FARITA Boyce, The best dancer in the Senior Category was given to Ms Dinaz Todiwala and consolation prizes to Firuzi and Kashmira.

A full Paisa Vasool evening. For those who have missed make sure to attend the next party in October ‘RETRO NIGHT”

Thanks, Tehmtan Dumasia
