Field trip to Statue of unity for Navsari Youth

On 4th of June 2022, WZO Trust funds organized a one-day trip to the Statue of Unity, for Zoroastrian children of age group between 10 to 17 years.

Total of 40 children, 28 boys and 12 girls along with 3 Trustees and 4 volunteers had traveled together and had a great time throughout the day.

The journey started at 5.45 am early in the morning by Bus from Junathana circle, Navsari. All the children were ready for the fun day, dressed in their own colorful dresses with a WZO Trusts caps on. For their safety, each one of them were also given an identity card. The children enjoyed the journey singing and dancing, cracking jokes and on the way had lovely breakfast.

After reaching the destination they enjoyed various activities like Sardar Patel Zoological park and Jungle safari; the center of attraction was the Exotic Animals and birds section, where beautiful birds were seen flying freely within the large dome areas. They also visited valley of flowers and unity glow garden. All were thrilled when they observed the statue from close distance , 182 meters ( 597 feet) tall and overjoyed when they reached on 45th floor, the chest area of the statue with a beautiful view of Sardar Sarovar Dam on one side and on the other , the crystal clear flowing waters of Narmada river.

Due to lack of time they missed to visit the Cactus garden.

While returning they all had mouth watering Non-Veg dishes for dinner at Ankleshwar.

All the children thanked Mr.Dinshaw K Tamboli, the chairman of W Z O Trusts; Mrs. Bachi aunty, all Trustees and Volunteers for organizing this wonderful trip. Overall the day was very much enjoyed by all and insisted on having many more such educational trips in coming years.
