YAZDI DESAI COMPLETELY EXPOSED

NO ONE SPARED:-COMMUNITY, TRUSTEES, ANJUMANS, FEDERATION, CENTRAL MINISTERS AND MEDIA EVEN HON’BLE PRIME MINISTER TARGETED and SCAMMED Not One, Not Two But Three Unexplained Letters Surface THE COMMUNITY MUST KNOW THE TRUTH

Yazdi Desai, once seen and considered Wapiz’s poster boy, one who was committed to protect, preserve and safeguard our community, religion and ethics, and who claims to be a clean corporate honcho stands “de-frocked” completely. Nothing but lies, more lies and still more lies.

Yazdi has lied blatantly to all and sundry and has spared no-one in his blind quest for power, supremacy and possibly to support and please his “benefactors” inside and outside the BPP boardroom to the utter disregard of our community and the implications of his misdeeds. The old saying by Lord Acton way back in 1887 that “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely” fits him perfectly.

Last week’s issue of Parsi Darshan had carried an article clearly exposing Yazdi’s blatant lies, deceit and underhand dealings regarding the nomination of Dinshaw Tamboly for the post of Member, National Commission for Minorities, Government of India, along with a letter addressed to none other than our Hon’ble Prime Minister on behalf of everyone who matter.

This article was very widely circulated and our community was shocked, surprised and angered at the fact that Yazdi Desai, a known traditionalist, and one, who owes his Trusteeship to Wapiz and the conservatives, virtually sold his soul and now supported Tamboly’s candidature when in 2014 he had opposed him. The moot question in everyone’s mind was “Why, Yazdi Why Did You Sell Out”? Why did you betray all of us?

Today the million dollar question everyone in the Parsi Community is asking is whether the community had in any way authorized Yazdi Desai to endorse Dinshaw Tamboly on their behalf or whether the Board of Trustees of BPP or the Federation and Anjumans had so authorized him. As reported last week Yazdi Desai under his instructions issued THREE LETTERS to the Central Government endorsing Dinshaw Tamboly. However, Yazdi Desai has only withdrawn only ONE LETTER.

Letter No 1:

Letter Dated 16 January 2017, addressed by Yazdi Desai as Chairman of Bombay Parsi Punchayet (but as admitted by Yazdi himself was without authority of Board of Trustees) to the Hon’ble Minister of Minority Affairs Mr. Naqvi on the B.P.P. Letterhead and signed by its CEO Cawas Panthaky for and on behalf of Yazdi Desai.

It is this letter that was withdrawn by Yazdi by his letter dated 5th May 2017 to Minister Naqvi after nearly four months and that too only after he was badgered to reply to the continuous query by Thana Anjuman at the Federation meeting of 30th April 2017 whether BPP had recommended any nominee to Minority Commission to which Yazdi had to at last grudgingly admit the name of Dinshaw Tamboly and thus the cat was out of the bag and then all hell broke loose.

Letter No 2:

Letter Dated 16 January 2017, written on the Letterhead of The Federation of Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India (to give an impression that each and every Anjuman are with him) addressed once again to Minister Naqvi. This fact in itself is a Lie, as the Anjumans were never consulted, nor their approval or consent taken in writing? And if it was sent out who sent it? It was sent on behalf of either of the two Hon. Secretaries of FPZAI, Mr. Farokh Rustomji or Mr. Noshir Dadrawalla but signed by Dy. CEO Aspi Sarkari on their behalf probably under instructions one presumes of Yazdi Desai or Kersi Randeria or the CEO. This letter has not been withdrawn by Yazdi or the Federation till date.

Letter No 3:

Letter Dated 19 January 2017, addressed by Yazdi Desai as Chairman of BPP on behalf of the Board of Trustees and the whole Parsi Community to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, and written on the B.P.P. letterhead and once again signed by CEO Cawas Panthaky for and on behalf of Yazdi Desai. This letter also has not been withdrawn so far by Yazdi.

This letter is the greatest Lie and Hoax on the entire Parsi Community as well as the Hon’ble Prime Minister himself, since it seems to portray as if the author (Yazdi Desai) had the unstinted support of “the entire Parsi Community” , Head Priest Khurshed Dastoor whose liberal views are known to all, The Trustees of the B.P.P. (when most Trustees do not even know it’s existence, leave alone have given their consent), The Federation of Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India (when they were not even aware that the letter was to be sent), The Delhi Parsi Anjuman, Unesco Parzor – Led by Shernaz Cama, one who according to Yazdi has misused her official position to “Trick Yazdi Desai” into believing that the Parsi Member’s seat would be given to a Delhi businessman. If these are Not Lies, then one needs to re-define what a Lie Means. Truly, Yazdi has epitomized and Institutionalized the concept of Lying at the B.P.P.

On reading the Parsi Darshan article last week his first reaction was, I just don’t know anything. Given below is the email sent by Yazdi that very afternoon of 14th May 2017 to one of the activist

“On Sun, May 14, 2017 at 2:34 PM, Yazdi Desai wrote:

Mr. Activist, I beg of you with folded hands to stop being pompous at all times and to stop being a crony and mouthpiece of Dinshaw Mehta. The scan of a letter purportedly issued in my name, which has been published in Mumbai Samachar today, has not been authored by me. The signature on this letter is not even my signature. You have not read my letter of withdrawal carefully, which refers to my recommendation letter of 16th January 2017; whereas the letter published in the Mumbai Samachar is dated 19th January 2017.

By maliciously publishing this forged letter Dinshaw Mehta and Munchi Cama have clearly exposed themselves to criminal action. And by continually spreading and re-forwarding their lies and blackmailing me, you have also exposed yourself to criminal action. An immediate apology from you will be acceptable to me.

Best, Yazdi.”

Instead of acting like a Chairman of the community, all that Yazdi Desai has done is tried to defend his actions in the most undignified manner. There is no harm in admitting guilt, however all that Yazdi Desai is trying to do is shift the blame of his actions on to others. Yazdi Desai has mislead the community on the following counts:

Yazdi Desai has issued three letters to the Central Government, not one as previously stated, which indicates that Yazdi Desai has withdrawn only one letter, whilst the other two remain un-withdrawn.

Yazdi Desai has addressed the letter “Independently and without Board Approval” to the Hon’ble Minister for Minority affairs, claiming that he was Withdrawing the Letter sent earlier by him, since it was written in haste and based on pressure brought upon him by Ms. Shernaz Cama from Delhi who misled him on the subject. It is difficult to digest that an educated orthodox is coerced into issuing three letters of endorsement in favour of Mr. Tamboly when a few years ago Yazdi Desai had vehemently opposed the candidature of Mr. Tamboly for the same post under the Chairmanship of Dinshaw Mehta.

To cover his tracks Yazdi Desai has alleged that the other two letters issued under his instructions are forged letters. Strange enough the letter dated 19th January 2017 has been signed by the CEO Mr. Cawas Panthaky. Which means either Yazdi Desai is now lying of having never issued the letter OR Mr. Panthaky has illegally issued the letter on behalf of the Chairman and the Board of Trustees thus creating a false document issued to the Central Government of India.

Yazdi Desai deceitfully failed to inform the entire community that he had issued three letters endorsing Mr. Tamboly. Had his authority not been questioned at the Anjuman Meeting, Yazdi would never have withdrawn his support and this entire saga would have gone unnoticed.

Yazdi Desai to garner support on the BPP Board of Trustees, specially with that of Kersi Randeria (who controls the Parsi Times & Jam e Jamshed) issued the said letters indicating that he was prepared to sacrifice his orthodoxy and beliefs in our religion only to garner power and support in the BPP Board.

We must point out that Yazdi Desai’s letter dated 19 January 2017 is probably the greatest hoax on the entire Parsi Community. The letter issued was addressed to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. As per the letter, Yazdi Desai has endorsed Mr. Tamboly on behalf of:

· “the entire Parsi Community”

· Head Priest Khurshed Dastoor,

· The Trustees of the B.P.P. (when most Trustees do not even know it’s existence, leave alone have given their consent),

· The Federation of Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India (when they were not even aware that the letter was to be sent),

· The Delhi Parsi Anjuman,

· Unesco Parzor – Led by Shernaz Cama, (one who according to Yazdi has misused her official position to “Trick Yazdi Desai” into believing that the Parsi Member’s seat would be given to a Delhi businessman. )

This letter is issued in the identical fashion as the letter dated 16th January 2017, which Yazdi has now allegedly withdrawn. However, the 19th January 2017 letter issued by him to the Hon’ble Prime Minister has till date not been withdrawn!

The community wants answers! How can one man unilaterllay take a decision on behalf of the entire community even after knowing full well his decision does not have the support of the community.

Two scenarios arise from the above revelation of facts:

1. Yazdi Desai has to unconditionally withdraw all letters written under his instructions. All withdrawals must be done in the same manner as the letters were issued and simple emails will NOT suffice.

Yazdi has to further issue a public apology to the entire Parsi Community, the BPP Trustees, The Federation of Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India, The Delhi Parsi Anjuman, and Unesco Parzor for using their goodwill in illegally using their name without any authority or confirmation from them. If the above is not done, the community should move an application before the appropriate forum to get Mr. Desai suspended pending investigation into this matter.

2. In the alternative, if Yazdi Desai continues to allege that the said letters (mainly the letter dated 19 January 2017) has been forged or fabricated, then it would mean that CEO Cawas Panthaky has issued this letter without any authority from Parsi Community, the BPP Trustees, The Federation of Parsi Zoroastrian Anjumans of India, The Delhi Parsi Anjuman, and Unesco Parzor and should be removed from the post of CEO with immediate effect.

However if the letter to the Prime Minister of India is indeed a forged one as claimed by Yazdi Desai, Kersi Randeria and Cawas Panthaky then justice demands that a complaint be lodged with the Commissioner of police for a proper and thorough inquiry to nail the forgers, whoever they may be so that truth must ultimately prevail.

A police complaint stating the above ought to be filed to unravel the truth behind these letters. The community needs to know how such letters were issued when no authority was ever given for their issuance. The community awaits answers! The community awaits the truth!
