Here’s where you can go for your fix of garam chai and snacks this monsoon

Tis the season of tea and samosas, pakodas and all things hot, fried and buttery – perfect to accompany the drizzle outside your window. We list our pick of the city’s popular chai and eats combos to put a spring in your step in these monsoon months.

Sip and munch

Drink up special masala chai as you watch the pitter-patter of rainfall and munch on some khari. To go with the aromatic tea on offer are an array of lipsmacking monsoon snacks – from corn and batata tiki(crunchy corn and onion fritters with date chutney) to nylon sev dal bhajiya (moong dal pakoda with anar kachumber and pudina chutney), Parsi Baba Special (masala aloo and methi puffs with grilled red chilli, roasted tamatar chutney), Puneri misal pav (misal pav with fried chilli, fried onion and crispy corn) and Videshi Maggi.
