NEW BPP BOARD PRO-ACTIVE TO COMMUNITY DEMANDS

After the new Board of Trustees took office at 12 noon of 31st May 2022 under the Chairmanship of Mrs. Armaity Tirandaz, only one meeting was held on 7th June 2022 when the new members requested the Chairman not to start implementing the proposal of Conversion of Leave Licenses to Tenancy as they wanted more facts to their queries before they would agree to this proposal. The Chairman graciously agreed.

The next meeting originally proposed on 14th June was cancelled to enable the Trustees to attend the 200 year Centenary celebration of Mumbai Samachar to be presided by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Uddhav Thackeray, Governor Of Maharashtra Koshiarji, Ex- Chief Minister Shri Devandra Fadnavis along with the two Cama Directors of Mumbai Samachar-Shri Hormuz Cama and Shri Mehli Cama. The function was a Grand success.

The postponed meeting was held on Thursday 16th June 2022 when the complaint of a visitor to Doongerwadi about a vagrant dog having bitten him there was on all Whatsapp groups. The Trustees unanimously instructed the CEO Aspi Sarkari to immediately write to Doongerwadi Manager Vistasper Mehta and his two Assistants Adil Avari and Arzan Patel that

“NO UNCHAINED DOGS OR CATS should be allowed inside any of the Office premises or any of the Bunglis of Doongerwadi as they do not want an occurrence of this episode again”.

CEO by his mail of 17th June 2022 to Doongerwadi staff has ensured that the Trustees instructions are followed.

We hope that the Trustees continue to be proactive in all matters concerning the Welfare of the community. We congratulate all seven Trustees for their prompt action and now hope that the promise given to the beneficiaries of removing the sword of Leave License over their heads will be implemented at the earliest.
