TRIPLE crown at the Maharashtra State Selection Tournament – Badminton

I recently participated in the Senior ( Maharashtra) State Veteran Badminton Selections held from Dec. 12th to Dec. 16th 2018 – held at the Bombay Gymkhana courts .

I Won the TRIPLE crown at the Maharashtra State Selection Tournament winning the
45+ Women Singles,
45+ Womens Doubles and
45+ Mixed Doubles titles.

I have just returned from bettering that Victory – this time at the National Level.!

The 43rd Indian Masters (Veteran) Nationals Badminton 2018-19 was held at Multipurpose stadium, Peddem, Mapusa – Goa from January 28 to February 3, 2019 (https://www.facebook.com/goamasters/)

With approx 1800 participants – a record number of entries at this time’s Nationals, it was a tough week, but i finished the week with

– The Womens Doubles Title in 45+ category wit partner Dr. Wrishalee Patil from Jalgaon,

– The Mixed Doubles Title in 45+ category with partner Commander Ashutosh Pednekar

and

– Was a finalist and Runner-up in the Womens Singles 45+ Category, having played a grueling 14 marathon games to reach the finals of all 3 events on Saturday 2nd Feb.

Needless to say – I am on a week’s break waiting for my joints and muscles to recover and then shall switch to playing Tennis to prepare for the upcoming All Parsis Tennis Tournament (organised by FOZAWAC) to be held at the Wodehouse Gymkhana on 23/24th Feb.
