Parsi family owned land declared govt property
Nine acre land is worth Rs 14 cr
Indore : Due to non availability of successor and a proper will, the district administration declared nine acre land of the Parsi family worth Rs 14 crore as government property. On the instruction of collector P Narahari, tehsildar DD Sharma passed the order in this regard on Tuesday.
Sharma said that the original owners of the land, located at Rau square, were Nargis Homi, daughter of AH Shah and her sister Jarurbai and they did not have any heir and they died without writing a will.
Subsequently, some people were trying to capture the land and repeatedly trying for mutation of the land. The district administration checked the documents and also demarcated the land. Finally, not getting any successor of Parsi sisters, the land was declared as government property and the same was registered in the government land records.Sources said that as per the government guideline, the current value of the land is estimated at Rs 14 crore but the market value of the land is estimated at Rs 25 crore.
